Burial choicesWe have standard grave spaces and limited pathside spaces. The family has the opportunity to choose their pathside space if they prefer.
ParkingCar Parking spaces for 60 cars, with a large grassed area available as an overflow car park.
AccessibilityNo steps and disabled toilet. Loop system in the chapel for the hard of hearing.
Public transportLimited bus service to the nearby village of Risby passes by the Crematorium and Cemetery. Usually a taxi would be required.
Service timesWe start services at 8.30 and continue every 45 minutes until the last service at 4.30. The actual time allowed for the service is 25 minutes, and this gives us plenty of time to prepare for the new funeral.
Chapel seatingOur chapel is available for services and we can seat 100 comfortably with standing for an additional 50. Further standing space is available in the foyer and waiting room, where the service is relayed via speakers.
RefreshmentsNone available at the moment but a Tea Shop is planned for the future.

Additional notesOur cemetery opened in 2004, following the closure of the local authority cemetery in Bury St Edmunds, after it became full. We have our own stonemasons, who are able to offer a full and varied choice of stones, with a variety of prices and styles. We allow lawn memorials and full traditional kerbsets

Burial Fees & Memorial Permissions
Burial charges and memorial permit fees are different. Confirm current charges directly with the authority.
Published costs and feesOur fee for 2012 is £675 for the exclusive rights of burial in a standard grave and £1000 for the rights in a pathside grave. There will be an additional fee of £525 for grave preparation. Our chapel is available for a service at a cost of £250.
